WHY FIGHT FOR LOVE?

Because everything worth living for depends on it.

Think about that.

Take love out of a marriage, a family, a friendship, a community, or a nation. What happens?

Now imagine removing every last drop of love from the entire world.

IT WOULD BECOME HELL.

That's how important love is.

And that's why we believe there is nothing more important to fight for.

BUT THIS FIGHT IS BIGGER THAN YOU THINK.

You might be surprised to discover who else is fighting for love.

GOD IS.

Think about the most famous verse in the Bible:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son…”

John 3:16

Why did God give? Because He loved.

Why did Jesus come? Because God loved.

Why did Jesus endure the cross? Because love was worth the cost.

GOD IS FIGHTING FOR LOVE.

JESUS IS FIGHTING FOR LOVE.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS FIGHTING FOR LOVE.

EVEN THE ANGELS ARE FIGHTING FOR LOVE.

And they're not fighting against humanity.

THEY'RE FIGHTING FOR HUMANITY.

Against everything that seeks to destroy the love God created us to experience and express.

This isn't merely a human struggle.

REALITY ITSELF IS A FIGHT FOR LOVE.

WHY DOES LOVE HAVE TO BE A FIGHT?

Because love requires something extraordinary.

FREEDOM.

You cannot force someone to love you.

You can demand obedience. You can enforce compliance. You can control behavior.

But you cannot command genuine love into existence.

Love must be freely given.

And that means it can be withheld.

Every day, we make choices. Selfishness or generosity. Hatred or kindness. Revenge or forgiveness. Evil or good.

That's the kind of world God gave us.

A world where love is possible because we are free to choose it—or reject it.

LOVE REQUIRES FREEDOM.

AND FREEDOM REQUIRES LOVE.

Think about that second part.

When people stop choosing goodness, society must increasingly protect us from one another.

More laws. More restrictions. More enforcement. More control.

Laws have their place. But no amount of legislation can replace a society filled with people who genuinely care about one another.

The less we can trust one another to do good, the more freedom we risk losing.

THE FUTURE OF FREEDOM DEPENDS ON THE FUTURE OF LOVE.

And that makes our fight for love a fight for the kind of world we all want to live in.

THE GREATEST DANGER ISN'T JUST EVIL.

It's what evil can do to us.

Jesus warned:

“Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.”

Matthew 24:12

Think about what He was saying.

As evil increases, love is in danger of decreasing.

We see hatred, so we become hateful.

We experience betrayal, so we stop trusting.

We encounter cruelty, so we become cruel.

We fight evil until we begin to resemble the very thing we're fighting.

THAT'S HOW EVIL WINS.

Not merely by spreading hatred.

But by extinguishing love.

And when love grows cold, everything that depends on love begins to fall apart.

Our families. Our communities. Our nations. Our freedom.

THAT'S WHY WE FIGHT FOR LOVE.

Not simply to preserve it.

But to keep it growing.

To keep it real.

TO KEEP THE FIRE OF LOVE ALIVE.

DON'T STOP FIGHTING.

CHANGE WHAT YOU'RE FIGHTING FOR.

Fight for love in your family.

Fight for love in your neighborhood.

Fight for the forgotten, the wounded, the rejected, and those nobody else wants to love.

Fight for goodness in a world that rewards selfishness.

Fight for freedom by becoming someone who can be trusted with it.

Fight for a world where love doesn't grow cold.

FIGHT TO KEEP THE FIRE OF LOVE ALIVE.

Jesus didn't teach us to overcome evil by becoming more evil.

He showed us another way.

OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD.

SO WHY FIGHT FOR LOVE?

BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE.

And when we fight for love, we fight for the very nature of God to be revealed in our world.

That's what FIGHT FOR LOVE is all about.

We're people who believe love is the most important thing in the universe—and that the world desperately needs more of it.

Not just to wear a message.

Not just to believe in love.
